RGB gives us a few colors on this lantern. The light is somewhat bright enough to know it is there and it does illuminate the area around itself slightly. Easy to move around, not very robust, but also not heavy. I like the size - very small for a lantern. I placed it outside on a 6x8 brick for a couple days for the initial 48 hour charge and it works as described.Ĥ small solar panels make sure it will charge no matter where it is hanging, as long as there is some sun it will charge enough for a few hours at night. That may be an issue with the bridge, the app, or the lantern but since I got this so I could use the OneSync system it was a big disappointment. Despite hours of trying it never connected. The big issue came when I tried to sync this up with the Feit WiFi bridge. That's fine most of the time, but if you don't want the light to activate (if in storage, for example) you are out of luck. The light comes back on the next time it senses nighttime.
Once that was done the light cycled through all 13 color choices by repeatedly pressing the mode button – but there appears to be no permanent “off” position. If you do (I did) the screw drops into the top and requires removing the circuit board to reinsert it. Loosen the two tiny screws on the underside of the top - do not unscrew the hanging hook. I had to disassemble the top to get it out – it would not come out otherwise.
First issue was the little “tab” you pull out to activate the internal battery. That said, it's been a challenge to set up and use. It's cute, it's functional, and it's well suited for accent lighting. Works with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.
